Simply attach the system to a rain barrel or other elevated water container, and gravity does the rest. As your birds drink, the water level naturally replenishes, ensuring a consistent supply of hydration. In addition, the horizontal nipples release water only when activated, which keeps your coop and run cleaner and drier.

Important Installation Notes
If you would rather connect the system directly to a garden hose or outdoor spigot, remember that you’ll need a water pressure regulator. This ensures the pressure remains between 3–10 PSI, preventing leaks or damage. Furthermore, we recommend using a model available at most RV supply stores for dependable, long-lasting performance.
Seasonal Use & Care
Because this system operates without heat or circulation, it should not be used in freezing temperatures. In cold weather, the bar may crack or burst if water freezes inside. Therefore, during winter months, we recommend upgrading to our Carolina Coops Circulating Water System, which prevents freezing and provides reliable hydration year-round.
