All About The EcoCoop
The body of the EcoCoop is constructed entirely from ACRE™ by Modern Mill. ACRE™ is an extremely strong composite material that is made from upcycled rice hulls. It is 100% tree-free and contains no phthalates, phenol, formaldehyde or adhesives. ACRE is water, weather, and pest-resistant. It will not rot or split, and it can be painted or stained just like regular wood. In short, it's just like wood, only better. We wanted the EcoCoop to stand the test of time in any climate, and that's why we chose ACRE™.
When it comes to quality, we're not cutting any corners. We use the same premium roofing, hardware, and hardware cloth as all Carolina Coops. When you purchase your EcoCoop, you will have the option add on features which automate your chicken-keeping experience: automatic watering system, feeder hopper, and run extensions.
The EcoCoop is perfect for a small backyard homestead and is suitable for 2-4 chickens (more if keeping bantams). For more experienced chicken-keepers, the EcoCoop can also function as a brooder or additional coop when you need to separate your flock.
